Man arrested after shots fired outside Belmont Co. bar

MARTINS FERRY, Ohio —

A Belmont County man is facing charges after police said he fired a gun outside a Martins Ferry bar.




Ernie Rice, 42, of Martins Ferry, was booked into the Belmont County Jail and was released on bond.



Sgt. Tom Duval said the incident happened at Don & Pam's Place on Glenns Run Road around 1 a.m. Sunday.



Investigators said Rice got into a fight then pulled out a gun and fired two shots. There were no reported injuries.



Rice is scheduled to be arraigned later this week in the Belmont County Court's Northern Division.
