Man charged with armed robbery of Weirton lottery parlor

WEIRTON, W.Va. —

Weirton police have arrested a suspect shortly after an armed robbery at a video lottery parlor.

Timothy Shea, 23, is charged with first-degree armed robbery.

The People's Choice Café on Main Street was robbed around 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

Officials arrested Shea about an hour after the robbery after gathering information from the employee who reported it.

An employee at the cafe told NEWS9 it was the first time the business had ever been robbed.
