Man Charged With Kidnapping Faces Charges In Two States

A man who was charged with kidnapping and rape in Columbiana County could also be charged in Hancock County, officials said.

James McKahan Jr., 28, could be charged with abduction of a person, a felony, in Hancock County.

New Cumberland police said McKahan kidnapped a Hancock County woman in September and took her against her will to Columbiana County.

Investigators said the two were arguing near the Smith Oil Gas Station when McKahan allegedly forced the woman into his car, took her to his Columbiana County trailer, tied her up and raped her.
