Man crashes vehicle, charged with OVI, possession of cocaine

BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio —

According to a report from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Corey Blazek of Bellaire, Ohio, crashed his pickup truck into a electrical pole around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on Sand Hill Road.

Blazek was subsequently charged with OVI and possession of cocaine, according to reports.

The utility pole was knocked down with live wires on the ground, and AEP was on the scene to repair the damage.

Blazek was trapped in the vehicle, and after he was extricated, was taken to a local hospital for his injuries, the report said. As of Thursday morning, he was still in the hospital.
