Work continues on a stretch of Route 39 in Columbiana County after a rock crushed the car of a past East Liverpool official Wednesday night.
The wife of former Mayor John Payne says he is doing OK.
He was flown by medical helicopter to the Allegheny Hospital after suffering several injuries.
Payne's wife hopes her husband makes it home for the holidays.
