Man Hospitalized After High-Speed Chase

A man remains in a Pittsburgh hospital after allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase.

The Hancock County Sheriff's Department told NEWS9 that on Sunday night on U.S. Route 30 near Chester, dispatchers received a call that a motorcyclist was highly intoxicated and leaving a bar.

According to the sheriff's department, the driver, 49-year-old Bradford Price, of Industry, Pa., and another motorcyclist headed toward Ohio. An officer said he attempted to stop the speeding duo.

The sheriff's department said Price refused to stop and later crashed near the Jennings Randolph Bridge and was ejected from his bike. He was taken to a local hospital and then transported by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Price was not wearing a helmet and alcohol is suspected to have played a factor in the crash.

The sheriff's department is investigating and probable charges are pending against Price.

The second motorcyclist has not yet been identified.
