Man Identified In I-70 Pedestrian Crash

WHEELING, W.Va. —

Wheeling police have identified the pedestrian killed Saturday on Interstate 70. Police say 38-year-old Walter K. Macklin was seen lying in the westbound lane of I-70 before he was hit and killed by a tractor-trailer.

Macklin had been spotted at Napple's Bull Pen in Elm Grove earlier that evening, according to officers. They have not yet determined why he was on the interstate.
