A man faces a felony assault charge Sunday after Ohio County authorities said he stabbed another man at a National Road bar.
According to Sheriff Pat Butler, Michael Craig Tyner, 37, got into an altercation inside Hock's Bar in the Valley Grove area and stabbed another man with an unknown object about 2:30 a.m.
Tyner is a gas worker from Texas who lives in the area, Butler said.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in surgery for his injury, he said.
Tyner is in the Northern Regional Jail, and the county magistrate has not yet set a bond amount.
