By NEWS9

WEIRTON, W.VA. —

Members of the Marland Heights Pool Association in Weirton sent a box of "Save Marland Heights Pool" T-shirts Saturday to over 100 troops in Afghanistan.

The mother of a U.S. Marine deployed overseas used to take her son to the pool, and she sent a letter to the organization about sending T-shirts.

Members said an anonymous donor stepped in to help out and show support for the military.

The organization said they wanted to show their support to the troops during the holiday season while they are away from their families.
