Marshall County officials investigating morning house fire

MOUNDSVILLE, W.Va.-- Officials in Moundsville are investigating after a fire ignited early on Monday.

Officers with the Moundsville
Police Department say that the home at 426 Poplar Avenue caught fire around 7 a.m. Monday.

Officials said the home was occupied at the time, but everyone made it out safely. A few pets did not make it out of the burning home and died.

The Moundsville Fire Department, Moundsville Volunteer Fire Department, Washington Lands Volunteer FireĀ 
Department and Glen Dale Volunteer Fire Department helped fight the fire.

Officers with the Moundsville Police Department say they believe the home is a total loss
