Marshall County, WV —

Marshall County officials completed a crucial recount on Tuesday night, a recount in the commissioner's race between Jake Padlow and Bob Miller.

When officials were done counting, Bob Miller was once again named the winner. It was another difficult night for Jake Padlow. After the recount was done, the other two commissioners certified the results, putting an end to the counting and leaving Padlow with legal action as his only remaining alternative.

"What can I say I'm really pleased. I've put in a lot of work since January and it's gratifying that the voters of Marshall County supported me and we have the outcome that we had tonight," said Commissioner-elect Bob Miller.

The only thing left for Miller is that next step. His term starts on Jan. 1.

"I start training down state so this was a concern," said Miller. "I'm scheduled in to this training for three days so fortunately I'm going to go there and hopefully learn a lot."

For the county it's even more unclear with potential legal action looming.

"If commissioner Padlow is still not satisfied my understanding is they have 10 days to file a contest of the election before the county commission," said Marshall County Clerk Jan Pest.
