Wellsburg, WV —
It was quite the scene as a medical helicopter landed in the clearing just passed the baseball field at the 18th Street Park in Wellsburg, WV.
People gathered to watch and try to figure out just what happened. But, they wouldn't find out much because the ATV accident happened outside of town around 7:30 p.m. - along Buffalo Road in McKinleyville.
Officials say a woman was riding on a trail in the woods when she wrecked and fractured her femur. When they reached her they were concerned about any internal bleeding and decided to get her flown to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Officials say riders need to stay away from trails that may be too tricky to navigate and stressed that they always need to wear a helmet.
