EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio —
They gathered to remember Holly Conrad Carosiello, 22, on her birthday. It's been over a month since her death, and so far there are no updates on the Columbiana County investigation. Carosiello’s body was found behind her estranged husband's home along Township Line Road in Wellsville.
Carosiello’s mother, Sonia Reed, said she wants to know what happened to her daughter. But detectives don’t have any new information.
“The detectives are being really tight-lipped about it all," Reed said.
Columbiana County police interviewed several potential witnesses, but no arrests have been made. Reed said that despite all her unanswered questions, she feels police are doing everything they can.
“I don’t believe for a second that they've let anything go. I believe that they have to do their investigation,” Reed said.
Carosiello left behind two daughters, a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old. As their grandmother waits for answers, she said she's going to take comfort in her family's support.
“I try to just focus with my friends and my family, and they keep me strong," Reed said.
The family plans to host a bike run in honor of Carosiello on Saturday. NEWS9 will continue to check in with detectives and give updates on any new information.
