Memorial service honors fire victims

Friday was a night to remember, and it was a night to grieve.

Hundreds gathered just outside of Patterson Field in East Liverpool. They were all pulled together by a fire that claimed the lives of Ulrich Estimot and his three young sons.

Trey Estimot's Little Potters football team organized the event and presented his mother with a T-shirt commemorating their undefeated season.

"Hopefully, they get through this. Losing a child, let alone three children, and a husband, it would be tough," said coach Brian Morris. "I don't know how you would go on."

During the service, family, friends and supportive Ohio Valley community members lit candles, shed tears and recalled fond memories of the boy with the contagious smile.

Potter Nation decorated the ceremony with T-shirts, pins and posters honoring one special boy.

The coroner said it will be a month or two before the autopsy results come in. That will put a hold on the arson investigation.
