Missing toddler with Brooke Co. connection safely returned home after 8 ½ months

LONGMONT, Colo. —


After being missing for more than 8 months, a toddler with family in the Ohio Valley has been returned safety to his mother.

Two-year-old Luke Turner disappeared in July 2012. Family members told NEWS9 he was safely returned to his home in Colorado on Thursday night.

Many other details in the case are still unclear.

The child's mother, Brandy, is originally from Brooke County and his grandmother and extended family on his mother's side still live in the Ohio Valley.

Family members asked for the public's help in finding the toddler, believed to have been taken by his father.
