More cows die after alleged Marshall Co. animal cruelty case

By NEWS9

MARSHALL COUNTY, W.Va. --

More cows have died after an alleged case of animal cruelty.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office officials said 12 more cows were too malnourished to be nursed back to health and have died, bringing the total dead to 28.

The investigation started in January when authorities discovered 16 dead cows on Kevin Strope's property in Cameron.

It was not clear whether the new deaths will mean Strope faces additional charges.
