Moundsville Police Investigate Hit-And-Run

Moundsville police are not releasing many details about a hit-and-run early Monday.

The incident happened at the intersection of Third Street and Washington Avenue. According to the police log, officers responded to a call that a driver had run over someone and had left the scene.

One man said he woke up the next morning found a set of keys, earrings and beer bottles on his front porch.

Neighbors said the incident started with a fight that may have led to someone being run over with a car.

David Seum said, "My neighbors tell me there was a big old brawl, like a fight, and then there was 4 police cars and an ambulance here. I don't know who it was."

Police said the investigation is ongoing and said the prosecutor had not filed any charges as of Tuesday afternoon.
