A Moundsville man is in jail on accusations he had hundreds of photos and videos of child pornography.

Troy Yoho, 18, is currently facing one count of possession of child pornography, but sheriff's deputies said more charges will be filed. Officials said with one picture having the potential of carrying its own count, Yoho could face hundreds of charges.

Wednesday morning, Yoho was arrested at his Morton Avenue home. He was arraigned by Marshall County Magistrate William Anderson with bond was set at $7,500 then booked into jail.

Marshall County Chief Deputy Kevin said investigators were able to start the case because of information from the Internet Crimes Against Children Agency. A simple IP computer address was tracked to Yoho's computer, which kicked off the investigation.

Officials obtained a search warrant on Aug. 16 and seized his computer, where they found the pornography. Cecil said there were hundreds of images of pre-pubescent children, estimated to be between ages 6-12.

Cecil said the investigation took two months for an arrest, and could take even another month before it's completed and turned over to Prosecutor Jeff Cramer's office.

"Once this computer is completely researched and all the material cleaned out of it, then we will have a better idea of how many felonies we do have and how many different crimes," Cecil said.

Cecil said officials continue to see many cases like this around the county and he expects more cases to come to light soon.

"It's an ever-growing problem, and it's one of those problems that, if you don't see it out in the open, you don't realize it is there," he said.
