Officials investigate 6th-grader's alleged threat to bring BB gun on school bus

HARRISON COUNTY, Ohio —

Harrison Hills City School District officials confirmed an incident involving a sixth-grader and kindergartner in which the older child allegedly threatened to bring a BB gun on a school bus.

District officials said the threat allegedly happened on Tuesday and school officials were informed about it Wednesday morning. School officials immediately investigated and notified the Harrison County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities continued the investigation Thursday morning and told NEWS9 they are satisfied they have gotten to the bottom of the incident. Officials said there was no merit in this case.

The Harrison County sheriff also said he is satisfied with the district's investigation into the matter.
