Oglebay Kicks Off SpringFest

The SpringFest’s big premiere debuts April 27, 28, 29. Over a dozen of the area’s best crafters are expected to participate. Admission is $6.50 for adults, $5.25 ages 3 to 12, and 2 and under and all members are free.

Festivities Include:

Gourmet Food Vendors Plethora of food with festival favorite Kettle Korn. Oglebay Food and Beverage Department, along with several other food vendors, will be present.

Spring Bulb Show: 50,000 tulip, hyacinth and daffodil bulbs span the 16-acre garden and arboretum.

Palm Room (open extended hours): Stock of flowering plants, annuals, perennials, and garden accessories. 10a.m. to 6p.m.

Palm Room Tent: Demonstrations of planting containers and hanging baskets. 4p.m. on Friday, 3p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Specialty Shops: Gourmet in the Gardens will have food products, food and kitchen - related giftware, wine, gift baskets, and confections. Daily 9a.m. to 5p.m.

Balloon Magic: Saturday and Sunday 12p.m. to 4p.m.

Laser Show: Benedum Planetarium will host Laser 80’s- part 2. 1p.m. and 3p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Evening Skies of Spring: 2p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

“What’s cookin? Two Centuries of American Foodways.”: Aspects of food and culture along with other food tips at the Mansion Museum 10a.m. to 5p.m. Friday and Saturday, 12p.m. to 5p.m. Sunday.

Glassworking Demos with Fenton Artisan and Dave Fetty 10a.m. to 5p.m. Saturday 12p.m. to 5p.m. Sunday.

John Trapani Big Band: Special performance at Wheeling Park’s White Palace with re-creations of Benny Goodman, the Doresys, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller’s original arrangements. 7:30p.m. Sunday. Call for tickets at: 304-232-6191
