Pedestrian struck, killed by vehicles on State Route 7

By NEWS9

MONROE COUNTY, Ohio —

A 34-year-old woman was killed after she was struck by two vehicles on State Route 7 Thursday night.

The crashes happened around 9 p.m. in Monroe County near Duffy, troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol post in St. Clairsville said.

Viola "Kim" Stark, who is originally from Arkansas, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers said Stark was struck by a Jeep Liberty as she was walking on the highway, then she was struck by a second vehicle that was heading south.

State Route 7 in the area of the crashes was closed for about 3 1/2 hours.

Troopers said alcohol is suspected to be a factor for Stark, but not for the two drivers.
