Thousands of people from all over the area are flocking to the Guersney County Courthouse.

It's all linked to a light show that officials there say is the first of its kind in the entire United States.

By day, the courthouse in Cambridge doesn't look too out of the ordinary. But by night, it comes alive with lights.

"There's something for everyone when they come to watch it," said Debbie Robinson. She is the Executive Director of the Cambridge/Guernsey Co. Visitors and Convention Bureau.

She says this light show started with an entrepreneur who wanted to give back. With an estimated 30,000 lights, Grant Hafley created and donated the display that thousands of people have flocked to for five years now.

It takes thousands of hours and plenty of help to get the light show up and running by November.

With four separate shows set to holiday music, Robinson says it is the largest public display of synchronized music and lights on a public building in the entire U.S.

Not to mention, a huge boost for the city. Robinson says the light show is only gaining in popularity and putting Cambridge, Ohio, on the map.

The light show will run through Jan. 7 and it will continue to draw visitors to the area until the very last day.
