Police Arrest Suspects In String Of Crimes

West Virginia State Police think they have put an end to a long string of crimes that have spanned several months.

After an extensive investigation, officers conducted a search warrant and arrested three juveniles allegedly operating an ongoing criminal enterprise in McMechen, Benwood, and the surrounding area.

Troopers have information that these three, along with several others are responsible for at least 36 crimes including burglary, breaking and entering of multiple structures including the firehouse and swimming pool, third-degree arson, and auto burglary.

According to a police report, troopers obtained statements of confession from the three juveniles and anticipate more arrests.
