BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio —

Two men are in jail after a police chase that went across state lines.

Derek Bradshaw and Charles Heathcote are charged with breaking and entering.

Belmont County Sheriff David Lucas said the incident started at a home on County Road 214 in the county.

The former owner said he saw two men taking items from the home that was mysteriously bulldozed last year.

The sheriff said the homeowner chased the men away and the men fled toward West Virginia.

The men crashed the vehicle then took off running before police caught them, officials said.
