Police Investigate LVL Break-In

The break-in happened early Monday morning around 3:00 am at The Coffee Mill on Pennsylvania Avenue in Weirton.

Police said what's ironic about this burglary is the intruder had in his hands everything he could, but in the end, didn't get away with much of anything.

Surveillance video shows the burglar entered by prying open the drive-thru window. Although the building has a security system, police said the alarm didn't sound. Police said it might have been power outages in the city that night that caused the malfunction.

The video shows the man ransacking the place, busting open gaming machines, and stuffing alcohol in a bag.

Police said the man grabbed the safe, money from the tip jars, and money from a hurricane relief fund. Police said it was when he left out the back door that the alarm went off and he dropped everything and ran.

Police said they do have a few suspects in the case. However, they are asking anyone with any information to contact their department immediately.
