Missing girl found safe in Pa.

PRESTON COUNTY, W.Va. —

Police said they have found a 2-year-old girl who was allegedly kidnapped from Preston County, W.Va., Friday afternoon.

Investigators confirmed to WTOV sister station, WPXI in Pittsburgh, that the girl was found safe just before 4 p.m. Details about where and how the child was located are unknown.

According to the Preston County Sheriff's Department, a man stole a Toyota Corolla with the 2-year-old inside from a gas station in Reedsville, W. Va. just before noon.

The sheriff said the man allegedly dropped the girl off somewhere in Richeyville, Pa. and then stole another van that was nearby.

Emergency dispatchers said police are still looking for the suspect and van.
