WEIRTON, W.Va —
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a man is on the run in Weirton after a pursuit early Friday morning.
The chase started around 2:40 a.m. on Route 7 in Steubenville, police said. An officer attempted to pull the car over because the driver was weaving in and out of the lanes, but the driver did not stop, police said.
The man crossed state lines into Weirton, where police used spike strips to slow the car down.
The driver then stopped the car on Washington Street and Heaslett Avenue and fled on foot.
The Hancock County Sheriff's Office and Weirton Police are still looking for the man.
