MOUNDSVILLE, W.Va.--
Police in Moundsville are hoping that new surveillance video of a coffee shop robbery will help generate leads that will solve the crime.
The surveillance video from Lee’s Coffee Shop on First Street is grainy and jumpy, but you can see the employee standing behind the counter drinking a cup of coffee early Sunday morning. Moments later, a stocky man dressed in dark clothing enters the building and pushes the employee to the ground.
The man then moves around behind the counter before running out the door. Officers aren't sure whether there was a getaway car waiting nearby.
"There are several avenues of escape from that area whether it be the Jefferson Avenue extension, First Street or Jefferson Avenue itself," said Sgt. Don DeWitt.
A similar incident happened at the same place last month. A tall, thin, masked man walked in, pointed a gun at the employee and demanded money.
Officers say these two incidents may call the security of the building into question.
Officers don't think the two crimes are connected because the robbers appear to be two different men.
