Police still seeking armed man who robbed Tuscarawas Co. gas station

TUSCARAWAS COUNTY, Ohio —



Newcomerstown police are continuing to search for an armed man who robbed a gas station last week.

The robbery happened at the Gulf station on West State Street.

Police Chief Gary Holland said a masked man with a semi-automatic handgun stuck in his waistband entered the business and demanded cash from the clerk.

The robber then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

The robber is believed to be a white male, between 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a full-face ski mask and a dark gray or blue hooded jacket with white stripes around the armpits and white lettering down the sleeves.

He was also wearing blue jeans, dark shoes and dark gloves.
