JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio —
A prisoner is on the run after escaping from the Eastern Ohio Corrections Center overnight Saturday, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said Matthew Lanham Jr., 20, climbed over a fence and escaped from the facility. Deputies said he was charged felony theft.
Deputies didn't say if Lanham is armed or dangerous to the public.
Anyone with information to his whereabouts is asked to contact the sheriff's office.
