Public input sought on W.Va. broadband grant rules

   CHARLESTON, W.Va. --

A state council is seeking the public's input on proposed rules for a grant program aimed at expanding high-speed Internet access in West Virginia.
 
   The West Virginia Broadband Deployment Council announced the public comment period Tuesday. Comments can be submitted by email to evelyn.bailey@lrkimball.com. The deadline is 5 p.m. on Feb. 5.
 
   The broadband deployment grant program is expected to begin in late spring or early summer.
 
   The proposed rules can be downloaded from the council's website, www.broadband.wv.gov.
