Marshall County, WV —

Jake Padlow isn't ready to give up his position as a Marshall County commissioner just yet.

On Monday, county officials set the date for a recount.

Commissioner-elect Bob Miller was served a notice of a $300 bond from a Marshall County sheriff's deputy.

Padlow also had to post that $300 bond in order for the county clerk's office to conduct an electronic recount of all the precincts.

Last Wednesday, after a two-day canvass, it was announced that Bob Miller had defeated Padlow by 70 votes.

The recount has been scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 1 p.m.

County Clerk Jan Pest said the recount is neccessary in order for Padlow to move forward with any court action.
