Going Green Ohio Valley: Information from your town, green resources and more

Bethesda and Belmont area residents will soon be provided with a new location for the community recycling drop-off.

In an effort to make recycling easily accessible to area residents, the Jefferson-Belmont Regional Solid Waste Authority is relocating the Bethesda drop-off barn to the Belmont Village Garage located on South Street.

"We sincerely thank the Goshen township trustees for their assistance in providing a temporary location," said Tammy Shepherd, program director of the JBRSWA Belmont County office, "and we thank the village of Belmont for supplying a more permanent location for the community drop-off."

The recycling drop-off barn will be moved from the Goshen garage to the Belmont location on Tuesday, Oct. 5, and will be immediately open and ready for residential use. Belmont County residents may recycle paper and cardboard, as well as steel, tin, aluminum cans, glass bottles and jars, and plastic bottles and jars. No Styrofoam, food products, electronics or other items are permitted at the recycling drop-off barn as they will contaminate the recycling process.

For questions about this move or about recycling in general, please contact the Belmont County office at (740) 296-5376 or visit www.regionalsolidwaste.org .
