Mitt Romney to visit Ohio Valley mine

BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio —

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is bringing his presidential campaign back to the battleground state of Ohio.

 News9 has learned that Romney will hold a major rally at Century Mine in Belmont County on Tuesday, August 14.

Robert Murray of Murray Energy Corp. confirmed on Saturday that the rally will be held near Beallsville, Ohio, for coal miners of eastern Ohio.

Murray will be busing in employees and their families for the rally, and more than 2,500 people are expected to attend.

Murray iterated that the event is not private but is closed due to space limitations.

Romney is expected to arrive sometime in the morning, and Ohio Senator Rob Portman is expected to introduce him.
