BEALLSVILLE, Ohio —

Presidential candidate Mitt Romney is expected to tout his energy policy -- including reversing President Barack Obama's policies -- and his plans to increase coal mining during a stop in Belmont County on Tuesday.

Romney is scheduled to stop in Beallsville at American Energy Century Mine to talk about the highly debated topic of coal.

The mine, which is part of Murray Energy Corp., was the site of much activity Monday as a stage was put into place, signs rolled out and a tent set up.

Workers aren't the only ones prepping for the visit; some residents said this is big news.

"I think it's great," said Luke Ice, of Beallsville. "Being that it's more of a Democratic community, it's interesting."

Herman Potts, also of Beallsville, said he spent 16 years in a coal mine.

"We need our coal," Potts said

Other residents like Jesse Rush said Tuesday is just another day.

"(Romney) is a Republican. All he's going to (do) is give all of his buddies a tax break," Rush said.
