School board covers unpaid bill from missing funds

By Briona Arradondo and  NEWS9

EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio —

The East Liverpool School Board voted the week of Nov. 28 to temporarily cover an unpaid bill for the band boosters after $100,000 went missing from the fund.  The sole suspect in the case, treasurer Cindy Yeager, was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Beaver Creek State Creek in November. A band parent asked the board, which is independent of the boosters group, if they would consider paying an unpaid $16,000 bill to Bethany College for summer band camp fees. The board voted three-to-one in favor of temporarily covering the bill.
