Snow Helping Business In Belmont County

After being pounded by snow storm after snow storm, many people in the Ohio Valley are trying to find a bright side to all this winter weather, including business owners in Belmont County.

Plow driver Jim Weisgerber, with Dad's Shine and Sound, said, "I'm tired. The last three weeks I've been on the go."

It's all thanks to the extra snow fall.

Weisgerber said, "Usually up at three in the morning, and here it is noon, and I'm still out."

Business is also plentiful at the Beech Hill Bar in St. Clairsville.

Owner Jim Paglialunga said, "It improves. It's because more people are stranded at the hotel. They come over."

But the boost in business does being some unneeded challenges.

Weisgerber said, "Every time you think you're going to make a nickel, something breaks."

When dealing with mother nature, you can only contend with a good shovel and the right attitude.

Paglialunga said, "I love this weather. Everyone should go out and shovel snow. Get some fresh air."
