State Superintendent Gives Local Schools Big Praise

Despite state-wide funding issues, Ohio’s Superintendent said some area schools have it right.

Dr. Susan Zelman paid Martins Ferry and St. Clairsville schools a visit on Monday and praised both schools for their dedication to preparing students for future careers.

Zelman said with challenges facing the schools financially, St. Clairsville High School is still finding ways to make their broadcasting program one of the best in the state.

Zelman also said she is in support of reviewing a new way to fund Ohio’s schools.
