Stine Advances to State Wrestling Tournament

Edison senior Andy Stine has advanced to the State Wrestling Tournament. Andy enters the state tournament boasting a record of 47-1. He was able to advance by taking out Claymont’s Jeremy Regula in a nail-biting match with Andy getting the win by a score of 1-0. When asked about the win Andy said, “This win feels great, especially since he (Regula) gave me my only loss this year!” Head Coach Kohenlein added this comment, “ I am happy with how everyone wrestled. We had 3 seniors in the tournament – Andy, Chris Brancker, Nick Stine- and they all did very well. They each had great careers and I am very proud of them.” Coach also added, “Ryan LeMasters who is just a freshman and advancing to the District tournament is huge. He will be able to take this experience and build on it next year.” Congratulations, boys! Good luck, Andy!
