MONROE COUNTY, Ohio --
The last in a series of school construction projects for the Switzerland of Ohio School District is raising questions with some community members.
The district is deciding whether to renovate Skyvue Elementary School or build a new building in the same location.
District administrators are calling for all residents to voice their opinion, and a meeting is set for 6 p.m. Monday at Skyvue to gather input.
"We have had different residents come to our board meetings and voice their concern," said Treasurer Janet Hissrich. "I think a lot of questions will be answered for people this evening."
During the meeting, Hissrich said district officials plan to present the facts that they know to the public.
Originally, plans called for the construction of a new school that houses 231 students in pre-K through eighth grade. The idea of renovating the building was just recently put on the table.
It is still unclear if or when construction of a new building would begin, but district officials plan to share all options and information at the meeting.
"I'm sure there will be a lot of interested individuals, and we welcome their input," Hissrich said.
