Task force captures wanted woman in Wheeling

By NEWS9

WHEELING, W.VA. —

The Mountain State Fugitive Task Force arrested a woman Saturday in Wheeling who was wanted on a federal release violation. Authorities said they received a call from an answering service about Teresa Woods' whereabouts, who is originally charged with buying dangerous drugs. After tracking down her address to 22 Pine Hill Acres Road, U.S. Marshal Chad Simpson said they knocked on the door and didn't get a response. Simpson believes Woods ran upstairs from the basement, so authorities kicked in the door, he said. They found Woods hiding in the bedroom shower and arrested her about 1:45 p.m., Simpson said. Woods is in the Northern Regional Jail.
