Teen Charged With Four Felonies

A 16-year-old accused of flashing a 9 mm handgun at a local Wal-Mart was in court on Monday.

The teen was charged with trafficking in drugs, possession of drugs, tampering with evidence, carrying a concealed weapon and menacing.

All but menacing are felony charges.

Police arrested the teen at gunpoint inside the Steubenville Super Wal-Mart on April 16 after the teen allegedly flashed a gun inside the store

The teen was apprehended in a store restroom, where police said they later found a handgun with hollow-tip bullets inside a garbage can.

When police searched the teen, they found crack cocaine, marijuana and more than $6,500, officers said.

Police said the suspect has a prior criminal record.
