STEUBENVILLE, Ohio --

A teen accused of shooting and wounding another man was arraigned Monday morning.

Trentton Blue, 18, is facing charged of aggravated robbery and felonious assault.

Police said they were called to Heritage Place apartments Sunday night and found a man who had been struck by a bullet on the right side of his head.

The victim, 19-year-old Joshua Catz, was taken to Trinity Medical Center and underwent surgery early Monday. Officials said Catz's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Steubenville police said the incident started when Catz and another person were at the Hawk Gas Station on Adams Street. Police said the pair was asking where to buy marijuana.

According to police, Blue approached the pair, and police said they drove to Heritage Place. Blue then pulled out a large handgun and attempted to rob the pair, and Catz was shot, police said.

During the arraignment, a judge set Blue's bond at $100,000, and Blue was appointed an attorney for his preliminary hearing, which is scheduled for Feb. 8.

Neighbors said the incident has them on edge.

"I don't come out at nighttime. That's the safest thing I can do: Don't come out at nighttime unless I have to," said Troy Monford, who lives nearby.
