TEMS Joint Ambulance District awarded grant money

JEFFERSON COUNTY,Ohio —

TEMS Joint Ambulance District has been awarded $120,000 in grant money to upgrade and buy new equipment.

 

The FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program will be used to purchase four new ECG heart monitors, which should increase the efficiency of patient care.

 

The ambulance service has received more than $500,000 in grant money since 2002.

 

Based in Toronto, the group answers more than 1,800 emergency calls each year.
