MARSHALL COUNTY, W.Va. —

A man charged in connection with a fatal car crash has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter.

A bench trial for David Schwing, 19, was scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m Monday in Marshall County.

Investigators said Schwing and his passenger, 19-year-old Arthur Woods, were in a crash on Oct. 16, 2011, about four miles south of Moundsville on U.S. 250.

Officials with the Sheriff's Office said Schwing was driving on the wrong side of the road when his Dodge Neon collided head-on with a van.

Woods was pronounced dead at the scene.
