COLERAIN, Ohio —

A pickup truck, multiple all-terrain vehicles and tractors were destroyed in a garage fire overnight in Belmont County.

Officials said the fire broke out around 1 a.m. on 72405 Colerain Rd. near Route 250. When emergency crews arrived, they found the structure and truck fully engulfed in flames.

Barton, Sunset Heights and the Colerain fire departments responded to the fire and battled it for about 30-45 minutes before it was contained.

Neighbors said they heard a loud explosion, then the electricity went out. They said they looked across the street and saw the garage engulfed in flames and called 911.

Inside the garage were multiple plastic containers of gasoline, as well as the vehicles. Everything in the garage, including the truck, was destroyed.

The Ohio State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating. Stay with NEWS9, WTOV9.com and WTOV9 Mobile for continuing coverage as details become available.
