According to a news release on Monday from Tuscarawas County Prosecuting Attorney Ryan Styer, Reed was also indicted with three counts of trafficking heroin. The drug charges are in connection with three separate controlled buys conducted by the LEAD Drug Task Force in late 2011, the release said.

Reed is currently being held in the county jail on a $1 million bail set by the New Philadelphia Municipal Court after his arrest the afternoon of the shooting.

He is expected to appear before the Common Pleas Court within the next week for arraignment.  If convicted, Reed faces a prison sentence of up to 31 years.
