Weirton Detectives Search For Home Burglary Suspect

Weirton detectives are searching for a man suspected of several home burglaries.

Richard Schoonover, 35, of Mingo Junction, is 6 feet 1 inch tall with blonde hair and green eyes.

A second suspect, James David Porco, 26, of Tiltonsville, was arrested after detectives said they received a number of tips after his picture aired on NEWS9 Midday.

Detective Rob Alexander said the pair forced their way into several homes at night. Alexander said the victims know one or both of the suspects in some way.

He said there are several warrants out for both men.

"They victimized someone they knew," Alexander said. "They need to be taken off the streets so this stops."

Anyone with information on Schoonover's whereabouts is asked to call the NEWS9 Lauttamus Security Crimebusters Tipline at 800-862-BUST.
