Weirton Festival Draws Crowd

Hundreds of people flocked to Weirton for the city’s annual Renaissance Festival.

The festival featured a variety of traditional fair foods and some fun for children.

One of the festival’s most popular features was the dunk tank, where fair-goers could try their hand at throwing a baseball at a target to dunk a police officer in a tank of water.

“I think it's very nice to have something like this in Weirton. And … it has a camaraderie about it. I like to see them young kids having fun. Then I got to dunk the cop, too,” said Weirton resident Frank Grieco.
