WEIRTON, W.Va. —
A Weirton teen is facing a sex charge involving a 7-year-old child.
Zachery Lockerbie, 18, is charged with one felony count of sexual abuse by a guardian or custodian.
When a NEWS9 crew asked him why he was in handcuffs Thursday as officers walked him to a police cruiser, Lockerbie said, "It's a long story."
Lockerbie is accused of hurting the girl in July, investigators said. The child told a family member last week and then the family immediately reported the allegations to police.
Officers said the investigation is not over and more charges could be pending.
